The International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) has a rich history of combating insurance fraud through education, collaboration, and professional standards.
In the early 1980s, a small group of investigators met informally to discuss combating insurance fraud more effectively.
The National Association of Special Investigation Units (NASIU) was formally established at a meeting in St. Louis, Missouri.
As the organization grew internationally, it evolved to become the IASIU we know today.
